It is a good thing that I like artichokes because they would have all gone to waste. I was left wondering what the food value of artichokes might be. I’ll have to check when I get off this plane.
That many artichokes must have met my RDA’s in some nutritional area.
All good things come with a price tag. Including elbow room. But I can have fun almost anywhere. On the middle seat of an airplane and all that. So I am luxuriating with a 4 ounce cup of herbal tea, now. Alaska air cleverly packs their children’s snack packs with wikki stix which are keeping Rosebud very busy now.
Wikki stix have been around for quite some years. If you have not yet discovered the pleasures of Wikki stix, I will tell you all about them. Wikki stix are a play thing that is like stiffly waxed string in about six inch strips. They come in lots of lovely colours and you can bend them any old way and the string sticks to itself. Think “pipe cleaners” without the pokey bits. Or the fuzz.
Super fun. And educational because they are a craft. Good option for an airplane ride because they aren’t messy, large, noisy, smelly nor do they require any particular skill. The age range for enjoying Wikki stix is about two to about forty eight. They are not toxic, but, just for clarity’s sake, neither are they edible.
I am really bored.
Later that day…
I am back in the booming metropolis that we call home, 2,500 citizens crowding the streets and overwhelming the shops. Home smells good.
