Interestingly, the children have not noticed at all. They have not noticed that it isn’t hot and sunny, merely warm and misty. But the wetness has not deterred them nor made any impact on them at all. They are definitely west coast children.
But. In the out of doors, it is very West Coast. Pacific North West. As they say, which of course in BC doesn’t make any sense at all because it is the Pacific SOUTH West.
Back to California. I wish the weatherman fully appreciated how much I paid for sunshine.
Anyway. Today we have ridden the Thunder Mountain Railroad, my personal favourite, ridden the King Arthur Carousel, my personal favourite, gone on Its a Small World, my personal favourite, visited the Tiki Room, my personal favourite….let’s see. Toon Town, Aladdin, Soarin’ Over California, another personal favourite, the Soundsation Parade.
I think Walt Disney made up almost as many words as William Shakespeare.
Today Rosebud saw a photo of Walt Disney. She asked who it was, and I said, Walt Disney. She said why is his last name Disney? As though Disney was some sort of back formation of Disneyland. I told her that he made Disneyland, and he names it after his own family name, Disney-land. Like, if we built a theme park, we would call it Mammalland. Not as catchy, of course, but she got the idea.
