I just thought you might be wondering what this is. Well. It is a game that Rosebud recently made up called “Pond Rush.” It is called that because the game pieces are all water birds, duck, goose and swan (all water birds, note) are rushing to the pond. I get to be goose usually. But anyway, the point of the game is to get your game piece, water bird, to the pond first. Then you win.
There are a lot of convoluted rules to the game to keep it interesting, including things like, if you flip an ace, you move nine spaces and if you flip a king you go back one. And stuff like that.
I am joining the clan here, on Theme Thursday because I love hand lettering, particularly when done for five hours by a seven year old. Our dog ate the duck game piece, and I will say that this is one of the hazards of owning a dog, having paper game pieces, and leaving them on the coffee table where mom says they shouldn’t go.
‘Cause dogs might eat them up.
