The hardest part of homeschooling your kids is not algebra. Or teaching them how to write a persuasive essay. Or how to memorize something as boring as seven times eight. Or the convoluted rules about when e comes before i.
The hard part is getting along. The hard part is the relationships. The hard part is being a grown up at all the right times, like when things are falling apart.
The hard part is the good part. In fact, it is the best part. If we didn’t have them home, when would we find the time to learn how to get along? We have so many opportunities to learn how to live and work together responsibly and charitably.
And that is harder than algebra. Way.
