This is bad. My two youngest kids have strep. They are 14 and 10.
But this is GOOD. And can’t even tell you, weeping about the miracle kind of good. PANDAS is, by definition, a childhood disorder. Children naturally outgrow it by the age of 10 or 12. Rosebud is 10. The trouble is that you won’t actually know if your child has reached the “outgrown it” stage unless they get strep. Waiting on eggshells, but no symptoms. No tic. No OCD. Nothing. Except strep symptoms. What that means is, we’re done. PANDAS is a thing of the past. In our house.
And I’m grateful.
